Gracie my 3rd grader

Monday was Gracie's 1st day of 3rd grade! We are thankful that she was able to start at the school she will be at once we move into our house (which we close on TOMORROW!) We are also thankful that she loves 3rd grade so far and has talked about quite a few little girls who are new friends and has a very sweet teacher! When we went to the curriculum meeting at "Meet the Teacher" Mrs. S asked if we wanted to leave a note for our child to have when they came in Monday. I'm all about the "little things" like that, and it was neat to see the kids reading their notes Monday morning.

It's been-and still is-a crazy week due to driving back & forth to her school and trying to pack (with a 2 month old?!) Next week we'll be walking to school which will be so much nicer on our gas bill! Here are some pictures of our big girl on her big day.

Looks like it was a successful week. I know you are so anxious and ready to be settled in your new home and be so much closer to the school.

Hope the rest of the week goes great and you get lots of packing done!

She looks so cute!! I love that Katie was so sad to see her go. Those are sweet pictures. Good luck with packing and moving. This time next week you will be HOME!!

Looks like your little one had a harder time with sister going to school than Gracie did! That was my 2 year old's take on brothers going to school as well . . he wanted them BACK HOME.

Those pics of sweet Katie crying just KILL me!! Oh, that's how Beau used to be! Glad school is going so well for Gracie! I'm ALL about the 'little things' too; Blake received a special '3rd Grader: Read All About It' postcard in the mail today from his teacher so he thought that was WAY COOL . . . mom did too! =) Okay, hope the closing goes well tomorrow! Love your new HOME!!! =)

I love that it was a family affair! What I want to know is was Mommy crying too? You know what? - Even Collin and Cade had me walk them to their teacher, down the hall! :)
