How in the world can a gland be so swollen and how in the world can it hurt so bad to swallow and the strep test come back negative?
I want to feel better.

I have had negative strep tests when I actually had strep. Go back and tell them exactly which spot in your throat to swab -- right where it hurts. If you've had it as often as I have, you KNOW when you have it.
Bless your heart. Year before last I had strep about nine times before I had my tonsils out late that summer. It is VERY hard to be mommy when you're sick like that.
