Happy 4th of July!

We had a nice little holiday that seemed like Saturday all day since Chris was home. I won't even tell you what time I got up this morning. It's way too embarrassing, but oh how I enjoy sleeping late! Of course, I could blame it on the phone call I received at 2:00 in the morning! Seriously, you know how the phone will ring in the middle of the night and you reach to answer it, basically in your sleep? You're so out of it that you're fumbling and when you hang up you start to think of all the bad things that could have been wrong? Well, this time it was some lady and I believe she asked for "Willie." I told her (in a not too nice tone I'm sure) that she must have the wrong number and that it was 2:00 in the morning!!!!! My caller i.d. said "Lisa's Daycare" and it had a phone number with a different area code. I was going to look it up on the Internet and see who they were and where they were. C'mon people! If you're going to call someone at that time of night, at least dial the number correctly!

My cell phone has gotten wrong numbers 3 times in the past few days too....all asking for "Lawanda." If she didn't have this cell number the first time the guy called, she probably doesn't have this cell number the 2nd or 3rd time! The funniest thing was the 2nd time the guy called, he repeated my number and asked if that was the number he'd called. I said yes but that she doesn't have this number. He said, "Oh, well she must have given me a wrong digit." Then he said, "Well maam, do you have a minute?" So obviously, he was some kind of telemarketer. I assured him that I did not have a minute! I never run out of minutes on my cell phone but I certainly don't want to use any on a telemarketer! The 3rd time a different guy called but still looking for Lawanda. I informed him that this was the 3rd time they'd called looking for her and that this was not her number! He was like, "Okay maam. Okay." I think he got the message.

We started the day out lazily then went and ran some errands. We're wanting to get Gracie a bike for her birthday so we wanted to try some of those out. Tonight, we enjoyed going to some friends' house for a cook-out, kiddie pool swim, & fireworks show. Let's not forget to mention KARAOKE! Yes, we did karaoke again, just like at New Years. Very fun to watch and I actually participated a little this time. Gracie still likes "doing the robot." Yes, her father taught her how to do that and she thinks she's great. Of course, her other dancing looks a little like Elaine on "Seinfeld" so it could be worse! It really was a great time of sitting back with friends from church chit chatting and watching the kids play together. Good memories to create.

Tomorrow I have appointments to get the girls' hair trimmed, then I'll be working on VBS. Oh, and the girls are better! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Lord,
Thank you for a fun family day! Thank you for time with friends and thank you for friends who open their home to others. Please help VBS to get planned and to be carried out in a way that is pleasing to You. Please help Chris & I to be the kind of parents You want us to be.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
