I'm with TMK. spaghetti sauce. Or (hopefully not) red nail polish that someone found and shook the lid off of. I like stained walls. it's makes the place look "lived in."

I think I beat you on stains--my German Shepherd just got into the entire bag of trash in the 5 minutes I went outside. He spread it all over the carpet--including the ketchup packets. He then proceeded to "doo-doo" on the kitchen floor. I think he has lost his mind.

Here's to Clorox Wipes!

SOOOO! What is it? Do we need to notify any officials in your local area? How long will you keep us in suspense?

No, no need to notify the officials! It is spaghetti sauce. I was unloading groceries and set some of the bags onto our kitchen island. I guess I set the bag with the sauce too close to the edge and it fell off. The weird thing is that I came back into the kitchen from getting more bags out of the van and saw the jar on the floor. There was just a little sauce on the floor. I wondered if it had broken and saw that it hadn't but the lid looked like it was popped open. I thought, "oh, well." The next time I came into the kitchen from getting yet another round of bags from the van, I looked more closely and saw where it had actually spattered all over 2 walls and the side of the island and even onto the floor in the laundry room! Yuck! Katie was inside while I was getting the bags out and I'm just glad it didn't fall on her toes or something!

We had a mystery mess of our own last night. At midnight, I walked past the bathroom going to Jenna's room, who was having trouble sleeping. About five minutes later, I walked past the bathroom again and there was throw-up on the floor. Julia was in bed. She had gotten up, sat on the toilet, threw up on the floor and went back to bed without ever waking up. Why can't these things happen in the day time so I can be more awake to deal with them?
