I was on my way to read in bed. Translation: I was going to lay there with a book beside me for about 5 minutes before I fell asleep. I told Chris and he said, "Come here. You got some emails." So, of course, not being one to resist such temptation, I went to read them and found out I'd been tagged by Matt. So, here I sit completing my mission. I did something similar on email just yesterday, so some of this is just copied & pasted from there.

Four jobs you have had in your life:
1. Greater Atlanta Christian School bookstore in the summers
2. Seven Oaks Academy daycare worker (in GA)
3. 6th grade & 2nd grade teacher
4. Wife & Mommy

Four movies you would watch over and over:
1. You've Got Mail
2. Imitation of Life
3. Finding Nemo
4. Monsters, Inc.
(I'm just really not sure. I don't typically like to watch movies over & over.)

Four books I could read over & over:
As with movies, I don't typically read books over & over. I LOVE to read and do it often but not normally more than once, other than children's books of course! So, I will list children's books that I love to read.
1. Just Like You by Jan Fearnley
2. The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn
3. Ordinary Baby, Extraordinary Gift by Gloria Gaither
4. pretty much any Patricia Polacco book, although they're really more for me than for the girls right now because the subject matter of some is really suited for more for older children. She is hands down my favorite children's book author! Many of them are very touching & family oriented and teach about other cultures & history and the illustrations are great and she adds a special touch by inserting real photographs into the illustrated picture frames. Her books are just really neat!

Four places you have lived:
1. Paducah, KY
2. Lilburn, GA
3. Abilene, TX
4. SC
(and a couple more!)

Four TV shows you love to watch:
1. The Apprentice
2. The Amazing Race
3. American Idol
4. Little House on the Prairie

Four places you have been on vacation:

1. San Diego, CA
2. Outer Banks (NC)
3. Ft. Myers, FL
4. New Mexico (whoo hoo!)

Four web sites I visit daily: (daily might be stretching it)
1. Ebay
2. a discussion board for other moms who have children near the ages of mine
3. other peoples' blogs
4. Uvalde, TX online newspaper (about twice a week)

Four of my favorite foods:
1. cheese!
2. petit fours (we just had a shower, so they're on my mind!)
3. salmon
4. shrimp

Four places I would rather be right now:
1. New England (especially if it was Fall!)
2. on the couch watching t.v.
3. reading on my parents' screened in porch
4. if it was next week, in Nashville meeting my brand new niece who will be born on the 8th!

Four friends I am tagging:
I know some people have already done this tag, so I won't tag anyone specifically. Play along if you'd like and let me know if you do. Thanks Matt for tagging me!

I just found your blog tonight...a couple of things I found interesting. I am from western KY and graduated from Murray State and did my student teaching in Paducah and also know a few people that have connections to Uvalde. Do you know the Meltons, Kellets, Inmans, or Boots and Joyce Moore? Small world...

Okay, that's really weird! I was born in Paducah, my grandparents lived in Reidland. I have family still in Benton. My cousin attended Murray State for a few years. Are you talking about Ray Melton? I never knew him but heard of him often while living there. I think he used to preach in Uvalde but had moved to another town. I didn't know the Inman's or Kellet's but do remember the names of Boots & Joye (Sorry soe of the keys on y keyboard aren't working; that's why I left out soe letters) Was Terry their son? I reeber their faily pretty well ery sall world! I hope to talk with you ore!

It truly is a small world - our worship minister came from Paducah - Bret & Summer Morris. I'm not sure, but I think he might have grown up there? Anyway - enjoyed reading your list!

WOW!! Jacinda, we are probably cousins or something if we talk long enough! Where in Reidland did your grandparents live? What are their names?

I actually grew up in the big town of Symsonia which is closer to Benton than Paducah. You just never know what connections you will make in this big old cyberworld!!

Okay, since these comments have a definite Paducah leaning--I will have to say I probably met Jacinda when I she was about 6 months old. I went to some church activity there. Did you know (or your parents know) the Alley's?? He preached for a church there about 30 years ago.

No Malia, I'm not going to Nashville, but if I ever do, I DEFINITELY want to meet you in "real life!" We may be coming sometime this Spring to go to Nashville Star. My brother works on the show and got us tickets last year, so we may come again this year. Also, if we don't come then, or even if we do, the last 2 years we've come on Memorial Day weekend for my niece's birthday. We may do that again. It's always fun!

I was born and raised in Muhlenberg Co...Greenville, and my parents still live there. We lived there for a while a few yrs ago. I am very familiar with all that area! We live in Sulphur Springs, TX now. Yes, Ray Melton. He was the minister at White's Ferry Road coc...in West Monroe, LA. I also used to live there. He's back in south TX now. The Inmans & Kelletts used to live in Uvalde but now live in W. Monroe! And yes, Terry is one of the Moore's sons and my good friend Stacey married one of their other sons, Jeff! I loved your blog today strolling down memory lane. I recognized a few of the names and also recognized Bret & Summer Morris...they were at Reidland when we were in ministry in Greenville. I love all the connections!!
